چکیده

In recent years, the possibility of combining graphene and carbon nanotubes has attracted much attention from researchers attempting to obtain new multifunctional hybrid materials with promising properties. Optoelectronics shows potential as a field application for such structures. The variety existing structural configurations graphene-nanotube hybrids requires preliminary detailed studies their optical properties by computer simulation methods. this paper, we consider island-type films formed AB-stacked bilayer single-walled (SWCNTs). case, is located above surface nanotube, forming areas an increased density atoms, creating so-called “islands.” To meet conditions real experiment, chose chiral SWCNTs (12,6) diameter 1.2 nm, which are most often synthesized in experiments. All constructed atomistic models graphene-chiral SWCNT were tested thermodynamic stability at room temperature proved suitability research. Using Kubo-Greenwood formalism, calculated complex conductivity tensor absorbance coefficient wavelengths ultraviolet, visible, near-infrared radiations. photocurrent spectra based on obtained absorption solar radiation earth’s (AM1.5) outside atmosphere (AM0). results calculations revealed regularities influence parameters (nanotube diameter, width) optoelectronic island structure.

Hybrid nanofluid based on CuO nanoparticles and single-walled Carbon nanotubes: Optimization, thermal, and electrical properties

The purpose of this study is to use the thermal and electrical conductivities of copper oxide nanoparticles and carbon nanotubes for the preparation of high-performance nanofluids for achieving better heat transfer properties. These nanofluids consist of a water/Ethylene Glycol solution containing single-wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) and copper oxide nanoparticles (CuONPs). The effects of such...

Ab Initio Study of Chirality Effects Onphonon Spectra, Mechanical and Thermal Properties of Nearly Samediameter Single Wall Carbon Nanotubes

In this paper, we have used density functional perturbation theory (DFPT) and Pseudo-potential method to calculate the phonon spectrum, phonon density of states (DOS), specific heat capacity and mechanical properties of (5,5) armchair and (9,0) zigzag Single Wall Carbon Nanotubes (SWCNTs). Our calculations show that Young’s modulusfor (5,5) and (9,0) nanotubesare higher than 1TPa. We have also ...

Diameter Dependence of Lattice Thermal Conductivity of Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes: Study from Ab Initio

The effects of temperature, tube length, defects, and surface functionalization on the thermal conductivity (κ) of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) were well documented in literature. However, diameter dependence of thermal conductivity of SWCNTs received less attentions. So far, diverse trends of the diameter dependence have been discussed by different methods and all the previous resul...
